Eboshigata Hachiman Shrine

At Mt. Eboshigata there used to be a castle known as Eboshigata Castle that was one of the Kusuki (Kawachi) Seven Castles, and this shrine is said to be built to guard the castle. It is located midway up the eastern slope of Mt. Eboshigata, and the main hall has been designated an Important Cultural Property. The area that includes the shrine is the castle ruins, and these historic ruins have been designated a Cultural Property by the national government.
